IMMUNIZATIONbasics provides technical assistance to strengthen routine immunization services and systems at the global, regional, national, and sub-national levels. The Manoff Group fields a senior technical advisor to the project and contributes expertise in the areas of behavior change communication (BCC), knowledge management, and community mobilization. 

 

The project is engaged at the global level on policy issues and technical guidance, and active at the country level in Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Nigeria, Rwanda, East Timor, and India. The Manoff Group manages the East Timor program.

Knowledge Management

The Manoff Group provides technical review of numerous documents in preparation by WHO, UNICEF, and NGOs, among others. In addition, information support activities include:

  • Designing and providing the content for the project’s web site
  • Collaborating with UNICEF/TACRO to finalize the translation and layout and manage the publication of a Spanish-language version of Immunization Essentials, a widely used field guide on routine immunization
  • Contributing to the Partnering with the Community module for the WHO Mid-Level Management Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) course
  • Writing and editing project reports and the electronic newsletter SnapShots

IMMUNIZATIONbasics is a five-year project (2004-2009) funded by USAID and managed by JSI Research & Training, Inc.
